Why Distance Education?

If you are a busy professional who aspires to earn higher degrees to advance your career and enrich your knowledge, distance learning is perhaps the best option for you. Without compromising on your existing schedule, you can fulfill your dream through the distance learning programs. Programs could be pursued in a self-designed way and the degrees that you will earn, are equally regarded as the campus programs.

Distance learning programs are available for almost all areas of study. Professionals can opt for the programs of their choice and earn Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Courses are offered in different modes, which the student can opt for, for example a student can decide to have classes through out the week and pursue distance education like a full time course, also, in case of time crunch a student can opt for weekend classes or on a self study mode.

With some universities, courses are offered in a virtual classroom setting that could be accessed from anywhere, anytime via computer and internet connection. Prime example of such an initiative being Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), which provides all its study material online, it also employs high-end interactive tools that allows the students to chat with the instructors and peers.

How long does it take to earn a degree through distance learnings? Seems like a good idea but might take a long time.

Takes just as long as to finish your regular campus program. Some courses provide an option to secure early credits though.
